The NYC of the left coast, San Francisco is host to one of the hippest eco-boutique hotels in the country, The Triton Hotel. Nestled in the fashionable Union Square district, the hotel is just steps from all the wonders of the city by the bay. Vacationers at the Triton can easily jump on the nearby cable car and take a leisurely ride through Chinatown, Nob Hill, North Beach and on to Fisherman's Wharf.

This landmark prides itself as being the "un-hotel"...a San Francisco cure for the usual bland, cookie cutter lodging experience. Once you enter the brightly colored, whimsical lobby, you can feel the vibe and emotion of a city on the cutting edge of art, fashion, and culture. From the celebrity-designed rooms to the freshly baked cookies served daily, your stay is far from a typical chain hotel experience.

When you stay at Triton, it's as if you are staying with friends - but with benefits. The Tritonboasts of the same amenities you would expect at a luxury hotel. A full gym, complementary Wifi, business services and conference center are all at your disposal. But rather than the tired old meeting rooms, in which the hum of the florescent lighting and prickly microphone lulls you to sleep, Triton's "Creative Zone" provokes invention, celebration and deeper connections. The mermaid muses and menagerie of fish adorning their one-of-a-kind 360-degree mural is sure to inspire and energize. Perfect for private meetings, mingling or lectures, the Creative Zone is destined to enhance any group experience while also keeping the opportunity and energy of downtown San Francisco close at hand.

The fun at Triton doesn't end there. They offer a wide array of lodging options from pet friendly pads to Zen dens. Their Eco-Floor is tweaked out with natural and environmentally-friendly resources and devices like energy saving light bulbs, no-drip faucets, water filtration systems, air purifiers, organic cotton linen and bath towels.

The Triton Hotel has also launched a line of celebrity-designed ECO SUITES to take their efforts to protect the environment to the next level. Ten percent of the revenue generated by each room is donated to the environmental organization of the celebritry's choice. Stars such as Woody Harrelson, Andy Dick and Anthony Keides of the Red Hot Chili Peppers have already put their personal stamp on rooms of their own.

When traveling to the City by the Bay, skip the W or The Fairmont. Make a reservation at The Triton where you can take in the city, rest easy, and save the environment - in style.
