The Collage Foundation Inc (501C3) supports non-profit and grass roots
projects that tackle today’s complex environmental and social issues:
groups with targeted innovative programs that make a positive impact.
Collage promotes the projects we support by fundraising, publicizing
and holding events for the programs we ally ourselves to. We encourage
you to learn more about these initiatives and to become involved with
them too.

Rockland
Farm Alliance
The Rockland Farm Alliance (RFA) was created to bring local
agriculture back to Rockland County, NY. It serves as a model of
sustainable agriculture for communities around the world. The Collage
Foundation has been part of this exciting initiative since the day it
started at the kitchen table of John McDowell and Alex Spadea. Camp
Hill Farm, Rockland’s first CSA , grew out of their concern over lack
of accessibility to fresh organic food, and their desire to bring
their community together. But Camp Hill was just the first step; in
order to expand the benefits of local agriculture, a community effort
was needed. We therefore founded the RFA . The Rockland Farm Alliance
is building community by encouraging ownership by the people within
it. Each member’s small yearly fee is their investment in health, in
community, in the future. With this money and the use of a combination
of municipal and private land, the RFA builds and cares for for the
farms that provide food to the community, and act as an educational
center for its population. It’s a wonderful way for the community to
become fully invested in the food they grow and eat. The Collage
Foundation has a strong belief in the ideal of sustainability as an
alternative to our current system of food production and distribution:
locally produced, nutritional, organic foods benefit the environment
and the health of the community. We celebrate the RFA’s success and
believe that their model provides the tools and resources for other

Clean by
Design
The Collage Foundation is a proud supporter of Clean by Design, an
initiative of the NRDC. Clean by Design is starting a revolution in
the textile industry, infamous as one of the largest polluters in the
developing world. The Clean by Design plan, already tested at one of
China’s most active mills, reduces the water, energy and chemical
footprint of the industry--while saving enough money to more than pay
for itself. Everyone truly wins. Fashion is glamorous, fashion is
inspiring, fashion creates trends across the world; it’s a reflection
of the times we live in. The Collage Foundation believes that now is
the time for the industry to join us in supporting Clean by Design;
it’s time to step up to the plate and take the lead in the protection
